Privacy Policy

Effective 21 July 2026 · Last updated 21 July 2026 · Applies to the Forecall Android application (com.forecall.forecall)

The short version Forecall collects no data whatsoever. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no third-party SDK. Everything you write stays encrypted on your own device, and you can export or erase it at any time.

01Organization information

This application is published by an organization account on Google Play.

02Data collection

We collect no data. Forecall does not gather, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage information. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier and no device fingerprinting.

The decisions, predictions, confidence figures, outcomes and notes you enter are written only to storage on your own device.

03How your data is used

Everything the app calculates — your calibration curve, Brier score, confidence bias, streaks, achievements and goal progress — is computed locally, on your device, from the entries you have made. None of it is uploaded, and none of it is visible to us or to anyone else.

04Data sharing

None. Your information is never shared with us, with advertisers, with analytics providers or with any other third party, because it never leaves your device in the first place.

If you choose to use the export or share feature, you decide where that file goes. The app hands the file to the Android share sheet at your request and plays no further part.

05Data security

Your journal and its review history are stored in an AES-256 encrypted local database. The encryption key is generated on your device at first launch and held in Android's hardware-backed secure storage; it is never transmitted.

App settings are likewise kept in the platform's encrypted preference store. Cloud backup and device-transfer are deliberately disabled for this app, so a copy of your journal cannot leave the device by that route.

06Data retention

Your data is retained on your device until you remove it. You may delete individual decisions (which rest in the trash for 30 days before being purged), or erase everything at once from Settings → Clear all data. Uninstalling the app removes all of it immediately.

07No user accounts

Forecall has no registration, no login, no password and no profile. You are never asked for a name, an email address or a phone number, and there is nothing to recover if you change device — which is why the export feature exists.

08Children's privacy (COPPA)

Forecall is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children under 13 either. We therefore hold no personal information that could be reviewed or deleted on request.

09Your rights

Since we never hold your data, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase on your behalf. You exercise every one of these rights directly, on the device:

  • Access & portability — export the complete journal as JSON, or as CSV for a spreadsheet.
  • Rectification — edit any decision at any time.
  • Erasure — delete individual entries, empty the trash, clear all data, or uninstall.

10Third-party services

None. Forecall integrates no analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting or social SDK. The open-source libraries it is built with (Flutter and its packages) run entirely on-device and make no network calls of their own.

11Permissions

Forecall requests exactly one Android permission:

INTERNETUsed solely to display this privacy policy page inside the app. No other feature uses the network.

It requests no access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, files, or notifications.

12Google Play Data Safety

The Data Safety declaration for this app states “No data collected” and “No data shared with third parties.” That declaration is accurate and complete: there is no data collection path in the application.

13Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be published at this address with an updated effective date. Because the app fetches this page rather than bundling a copy, you always see the current text.

15Legal compliance

Forecall is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Google Play's User Data policy. Compliance is straightforward in this case: the app processes no personal data outside your own device, so there is no controller-to-processor transfer, no international transfer, no sale of personal information and no profiling.
